    Born in Fukui Prefecture. Joined the Advertising Department of Takashimaya in 1970, relocated to Nippon Design Center in 1973, and established Toda Office Inc., in 1976. His major works include: Suntory Royal Whisky and "Penguin" / "Penguin's Bar" canned beer (1982-84); Issey Miyake fashion advertising, exhibition, etc. (1987); Isetan fashion campaigns and CI (1986-95); "AERA" magazine cover art direction ; Parco and Vivre 21 fashion campaigns and CI; Burberry "Blue Label" (1996-date); Mori Building Roppongi Hills opening campaign direction (2003). Major awards: Grand Prix at Lahti International Poster Biennial, Tokyo ADC Members Highest Award, etc.
