    Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, he graduated from Kokura Kogyou High School. Recent awards include the 1984 Warsaw International Poster Biennial Gold Award, the Silver of 1985, 1988 and 1991, the 1987 Mainichi Design Award, the New York ADC International Exhibition Gold Award in 1987, 1988 and 1989, the 1989 Lahti International Poster Biennial Exhibition Grand Prize, the French Poster Exhibition Grand Prize, the highest award at the Colorado International Poster Invitation Exhibition, the 1990 Bruno International Graphic Design Biennial Exhibition Silver Award, the French Poster International Exhibition Grand Prize and the 1991 Lahti Poster Biennial Special Prize. His works re in the New York Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of Applied Art, The Warsaw Poster Museum, the Lahti Art Museum, the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Modern Art, Toyama and the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art.

    Born in Fukuoka. He made a spectacular debut in 1980 in the world of graphic design. His numerous awards include Gold Prize at the International Poster Biennial, Warsaw, Gold Prize at the NY ADC, Grand Prize at the Lahti Poster Biennale, Grad Prix at the Tokyo ADC. His works are in the permanent collections of the Museum Art in NY, and more than 20 other modern art museums around the world. He is a member of the Tokyo ADC, AGI and JAGDA.
