    Graduated from Chubi Central Art School om 1969 and joined the production department of Asatsu Inc. He became independent in 1972 and in 1984 was responsible for developing a worldwide campaign image for Fiat, Italy. In 1995 he designed a sexy robot character for the HBO cable TV series "T&A 2000." He won the Vargas Award in the USA in 1996 and in 1999 the Good Design Award's Grand Prix for his Sony AIBO robot dong, as well as the Grand Prix from the Media Arts Festival. The first AIBO design was included in the permanent collections of both the Smithsonian Institution and the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2001. In the same year, he was awarded the Asahi Shimbun Prize for Invention and Innovation. He has held Los Angeles. The many published collections of his works include "Sexy Robot," "Pinup," "HYPER ILLUSTRATION 1.2," "THE GYNOIDS."
