    Born in Fukuoka. In 1982 graduated from Musashino Art University with a degree in visual communication design and joined Tohokushinsha film Corp., and in 1983 became a director of TV commercials. His major work includes commercials for Takeda Pharmaceutical, Fuji Television, Nissin Food Products, Honda Motor, Shiseido and Suntory. Among his numerous awards won to date are the Tokyo Art Directors Club Grand Prize, Cannes Lions Advertising Festival Grand Prix, IBS Grand Prize, Asia Pacific Advertising Festival Best of Directing and the All Japan Radio & Television Commercial Confederation Gold Prize. Currently Executive Managing Director of Tohokushinsha in charge of advertising production. Member of the Tokyo art Directors Club. Visiting professor at Musashino Art University.
