    Born in Adelaide, Australia, he studied at the Lausanne School of Art between 1974-78. He became a free graphic artist from 1980 after working with Werner Jeker from 1978-79. He has taught at the Lausanne School of Art, the Art Center College of Design (Europe) and the University of Quebec in Montreal, UQAM (workshop). He won a award at the 1987 Essen International Poster Triennial and the ECOGRADA Award at the 7th Chaumont International Poster Festival in 1996.
