スイスのバーゼルを拠点に活躍するレヴィの作品を、スイスサイズの大型ポスター約30点を中心に展示。

The works of Levy, based in Basel, Switzerland, about 30 large, Swiss-sized posters, were shown.

来日後に自ら撮影した街角の風景をスイスのそれと比較しながら、両国のコミュニケーション手段の基本的な違いについて指摘するなど、鋭い視線を感じさせた。

He compared streets he had photographed himself since coming to Japan with scenes from Switzerland to make some strong points about the basic differences between the communication methods of each country.

スイスのジュネーブ生まれ。バーゼル・スクール・オブ・グラフィックデザインで学び、83年より雑誌の編集デザイナー等として活動後、サンフランシスコに移り6カ月間滞在。その間に多くのデザイナー、写真家と出会い、エネルギッシュな精神に影響を受ける。88年、スイスのバーゼルに"AND" (Trafic Grafic) オフィスを設立。”AND”はデザイナーと顧客の関係を表し、Trafic Graficは各地を旅する印刷物を意味している。カナダやアメリカのアートスクールでの指導経験も豊富。

Born in Geneva, he studied at the Basel School of Graphic Design. In 1873, after working as a magazine editorial designer, he moved to San Francisco where he stayed six months. There he met many designers and photographers whose energetic spirit influenced him. In 1988, he established an office, "AND" (Trafic Grafic). "AND" refers to the relationship between the designer and the client while Trafic Grafic indicates the printed material that travels to various areas. Since 1991, he has been keeping close contact with American by having teaching at Art Center College of Design Europe, Rhode Inland School of Design (RISD), Californian college of Arts and Crafts (CCAC) in San Francisco.

広島県生まれ。大阪芸術大学中退。1970年ロシア、ヨーロッパを経てシルクロードを歩く。髙島屋宣伝部を経て、1984年松井桂三デザイン室、92年ハンドレットデザインインク設立。日米グラフィックデザイン展銀賞、東京ADC賞ほか受賞多数。最近はグラフィックデザインを中心に広告、パッケージ、環境、映像、建築など様々なジャンルを手がける。「チャイナグラフィックデザイン'96」（中国）、「MATSUI=GRAPHIKDESIGN AUS JAPAN」（独）など海外で展覧会開催。著書に『3Dグラフィックス』（六耀社）、『平面設計士松井桂三』（中国青年出版社）がある。AGI、NY.ADC、東京ADC、東京TDC会員。JAGDA理事。

Born in Hiroshima, he left Osaka University of Arts. In 1970, he traveled through the Silk Road from Russia and Europe. After the advertising department of Takashimaya, he established the Keizo Matsui Design Office in 1984 and Hundred Design Inc. in 1992. His many awards include the Japan-America Graphic Design Exhibition Silver Award and the Tokyo ADC Award. Recently, he is primarily involved graphic design but also many genre such as packaging, the environment, film, and architecture. He has has exhibition abroad such as "China Graphic Design '96" (China) and "Matsui-Graphkdesign aus Japan" (Germany). His books include "3D Graphics" (Rikuyosha) and "Keizo Matsui: The Graphic Designer" '(Chugoku Seinen Publishing Co.). He is a member of AGI, NY.ADC, Tokyo ADC, Tokyo TDC and is a director of JAGDA.
