    Born in Nara Prefecture, he graduated from the Kyoto City College of Fine Arts. He joined in establishing the Nippon Design Center in 1960. He headed the Ikko Tanaka Design Studio in 1963. His awards include the Mainichi Industrial Design Award, the Recommended Artist's Award from the Ministry of Education, Japan, the ADC Gold Awards, the Tokyo ADC Awards of Excellence, and the Mainichi Art Award. He was accepted to the NY ADC Hall and has received the purple Ribbon Medal. He has been the art director of the Saison Group since 1973. He is currently the Tokyo ADC chairman, and an AGI member.     Born in Nara. Graduated from Kyoto city College of Fine Arts. After working at Kanegafuchi Spinning Co., Ltd., Sankei Shimbun, etc., in 1960 participated in founding Nippon Design Center. In 1963, established Ikko Tanaka Design Studio. recipient of numerous awards. One-man shows at Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea in Milan, Museu de Arte de São Paulo, etc.
