A Collage exhibition by Chermayeff, the greatest in New York design circles. Exhibited 43 works including originals sent directly from New York and lithographs. The collages, containing memories of his many friends, create a unique, small universe full of wit.

ロンドン生まれ。ハーバード大学、シカゴデザイン研究所、エール大学美術建築学部卒業。ニューヨークADC、タイポディレクターズクラブ、AIGA、イラストレーター協会などより受賞多数。1967年、アメリカ建築家協会よりインダストリアルメダル受賞。1974年ニューヨーク市の景観への貢献に対して、フィフスアベニュー協会より特別賞を受賞。1979年AIGA金メダルを受賞。1982年ニューヨークADC殿堂入り。1985年エール大学美術賞を受賞。AIGA会長、エール大学美術建築委員、ハーバード大学視覚環境研究委員、スミソニアン研究所理事、アスペン国際デザイン会議理事などを歴任。現在、米国グラフィックアート協会副会長、AGI会員。

Born in London, he graduated from Harvard University, the Institute of Design in Chicago and Yale University, School of Art and Architecture. He has gotten many awards from the Art Directors Club of New York, the Typo-Directors Club, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, and the Society of Illustrators. The American Institute of Architects honored him with its Industrial Art Medal in 1967. The fifth Avenue Association gave him a special award in 1974 for his contribution to the visual environment of New York. In 1979 he received the Gold Medal of AIGA. In 1982 he was named to the New York ADC Hall of Fame. In 1985 he was received the Yale Arts Award Medal. He is a past president of AIGA. He was a member of both the Yale committee on Art and Architecture and Harvard University Board of Overseers Committee on Visual and Environmental Studies, a National Trustee of the Smithsonian Institute and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Design Conference in Aspen. He is currently vice president of AIGA and AGI member.
